“Active Citizens” is a British Council program for young people in the field of intercultural dialogue and social development.
The program was launched in 2009 and is implemented in more than 78 countries in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, South and East Asia, North and South America.
The aim of the program is to promote social change and to ensure sustainable development by creating and building a network of young leaders involving youth organisations that drive reform in their communities and provide them with knowledge and skills that will help build relationships between people on the basis of equality and equal opportunities, respect for diversity, the ability to conduct a conflict-free dialogue.
The facilitators discussed issues related to the activities of active citizens, protection of their rights during the training period 27-28.03.2021 (10 hours). Much attention was paid to projects that can be implemented by active citizens next year.
The training also improved the skills of practical writing of projects, the peculiarities of writing an application, as well as the requirements for the correct preparation of the project budget: what you can spend money on, and what is strictly prohibited.
