The academic staff of the Faculty of Law at the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities held a scientific and practical conference within the framework of the traditional All-Ukrainian Week of Law. This year, it had the status of an all-Ukrainian, since the organisation and participation in the conference were attended by scholars, graduate students and students. Almost 40 participants, from different educational institutions of our country, as well as from the Republic of Belarus were present. The general topic of the conference was “Legal Reforms as an Element of Social Reform”, which created a wide field for the participants to present their ideas and experiences.
In particular, the meeting touched upon the issues of reforming the Ukrainian justice authorities, practical aspects of implementing the principles of decentralisation and subsidiarity in national practice of state building, problematic aspects of law education reform and other issues.
It should be noted that not only the academic community was involved in the conference. So, the meeting was addressed by Nataliia Yatsiuk, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Justice in Rivne region, and Nataliia Khomych, Director of the Centre for Administrative Services in Rivne.
In addition, during the conference, a cooperation agreement was signed between Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities and the Centre for Administrative Services in Rivne. The conference was moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities, Professor, Doctor of Science in Philosophy Andrii Matviichuk.
