History of the Department
The Department of Economics and Finance was established in August 2001 as a result of the reorganization of the Department of Finance according to the decision of the Academic Council of the University.
The department structurally belongs to the Faculty of Economics. It trains students in the field of knowledge 07 "Management and Administration" of the first (bachelor) and second (master) levels of higher education in specialty 072 "Finance, Banking and Insurance" and 05 "Social and Behavioural Sciences” of the second (master) level in specialty 051" Economics ".
The Department of Economics and Finance provides teaching of about a hundred disciplines for specialties, training of specialists for which is carried out by the Faculty of Economics: Finance, Banking and Insurance, Marketing, Economics, Management. The department participates in the training of specialists in other specialties of the university. For this purpose, the department has developed electronic (distance) versions of educational and methodological complexes for all disciplines. Computer technology, interactive whiteboards, multimedia tools, etc. are widely used in the educational process.
The Department of Economics and Finance cooperates with the education authorities of Rivne region in the direction of implementing the university degree system of education. Within the framework of cooperation with the regional department of education the leading lecturers of the department are members of the jury of economic sections of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Rivne region, competition of young scientists of Rivne region, members of the coordination council of young economists operating at Rivne regional council.
The Department of Economics and Finance is constantly improving the professional level of lecturers, widely using various forms. Lecturers of the department undergo advanced training in the form of internships, advanced training courses, defence of dissertations and academic titles. Lecturers of the department improved their skills during internships in higher educational institutions of Ukraine and other countries (Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, Ternopil National Economic University, V. Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University, National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, National University "Ostroh Academy ", University of Nyíregyhánia (Hungary), Kodolaniy Janos University of Applied Sciences (Hungary), Higher School of International Relations, Chelm (Poland), Andrzej Frycz Modzewski Academy of Cracow (Republic of Poland), Wielkopolska Socio-Economic School in Schröd (Republic of Poland).
