Andrii Smus, lecturer at the Faculty of Journalism at IUEH, volunteer, director, and author of patriotic television projects, took part in a documentary film evening held as part of Ukrainian Culture Week, initiated by the Twinning program.
The evening of November 4 was dedicated to the role and place of documentary filmmaking during wartime. Andriy Smus shared his impressions and experience of working in wartime conditions and talked about the specifics of making documentary films, the challenges, the importance of filming evidence of Russian crimes on the territory of our state, and recording the testimonies of living witnesses to the events.

The highlight of the evening was the screening of the film Mariupol. Chronicles of Hell, a powerful testimony to the tragedy of the city that has become a symbol of the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people.
The film evoked deep emotions in the audience and lively discussion after the screening.Such events not only support Ukrainian media professionals and filmmakers, but also help society realize the importance of documentary cinema as an instrument of memory and truth.
