

On December 1, the European Journalism Training Association held a meeting of the association's leadership for the DESTIN project participants.
The main speakers of the meeting were Aidan White, President of the Association, and Nadia Vissers, Coordinator.
The coordinators of the DESTIN project from IUEH - Alina Lavreniuk, Head of the International and Project Department and Victoriya Zolyak, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism took an active part in discussing the prospects of journalism at the European level.
Aidan White emphasized the need to overcome the main challenges of today's journalism, namely: fake news, national interests, media independence, secure information space and journalistic ethics. The participants also discussed the political influence on the way news about the war is covered by media channels in Ukraine and Europe.The President of the Association emphasized:
"Right now we need to think about the future. After all, when the war is over, people will not stop talking about the war. And we are now responsible for how the history and course of the war will be described in the international media. We are the ones who have to promote journalistic ethics, quality understanding and proper training of young journalists. When we train students of journalism, we must make sure that they clearly understand what journalistic ethics is and what its "rules of the game" are. Ethics is the basic law of every journalist during a military conflict."

On November 29, a regular lunch seminar with British colleagues was held. Professors Ben Simmons and Hazel Vernon (Faculty of Education) presented their work on "Cultural Heritage for People with Learning Disabilities".
The seminar was dedicated to Disability History Month. The speakers presented ongoing projects related to accessibility for people with learning disabilities. They talked about accessible communication and access to cultural heritage in the Frome region, as well as a new project on how to make heritage spaces more inclusive for people with intellectual disabilities.
During the presentation, the speakers emphasized the importance of developing and implementing special innovative teaching methods for people with intellectual disabilities.
Professors and students of different specialties of the IUEH joined the discussion on this topic. During the discussion, they also shared their experience of working with children with special needs, namely the work of the Polish-Ukrainian Adaptation Center at the university.
On November 25, 2023, an international scientific conference on the topic „Socio-economic consequences of the war in Ukraine” was held at the Wielkopolska Academy of Social and Economic Sciences in Poland.
In addition to the WASE Faculty of Economics, it was organized by Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities in Rivne (Ukraine) and the Department of Organization Management of Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine). The topic of the conference was extremely important and relevant, as its goal was to assess the impact of the war in Ukraine on the economic, social and political situation in Poland and the world.
The event had a hybrid nature, part of the presentations took place remotely, the rector of the university Vitalii Demianchuk gave a welcome speech, and Alina Lavreniuk, Head of the International Project Department, gave a presentation on the topic "Challenges of international education for HEIs during the war in Ukraine".
The presentations were also attended by such scientists as Professor Oleh Karyi, Head of the Department of Organizational Management of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" (Ukraine), Professor Pavlo Kobis from the Faculty of Management of the Częstochowa University of Technology (Sweden), as well as Professor Nataliia Morozova from the Royal Institute of Technology KTH (Sweden ).
Other speakers and guests included representatives of other research centers, including the University named after Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan, Zelenogur University, Poznan University of Economics, Academy named after President Stanislav Wojciechovskyi in Kalisz, the Academy of Applied Sciences named after Stanislav Stashytsia.
The organization of the conference was accompanied by the previous edition of the monograph: J. Babiak, A. Kisiołek, W. Sługocki (eds.), Socio-Economic Consequences of the War in Ukraine, Wielkopolska Academy of Social and Economic Sciences in Śród Wielkopolska - Academy of Applied Sciences and Bogucki Wydawnictwo Naukowe, Poznań -Środa Wlkp. 2023.
The delegation of Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities consisting of Vice-Rector for Research Work Nataliia Medynska, Head of the Department for Research Activity and Postgraduate Studies Oksana Yaromenko and Head of the International and Project Department Alina Lavreniuk took part in the international conference “Internationalization of Doctoral Studies” which was held on November 18-20, 2023 at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Poland).
The conference was held within the framework of the AMU International Compass program and was dedicated to the implementation of research in doctoral schools, the promotion of international mobility of graduate students, and the development of internationalization. The conference participants shared their experience in preparing doctoral programs at universities in Poland, Ukraine, Malta, Serbia, India, Lithuania, Pakistan, Germany, Portugal, and Italy. They discussed the realities and challenges of educating applicants under martial law and outlined prospects for international cooperation.
The conference participants had the opportunity to visit the educational fair organized in AMU Coll Minus, where the results of scientific developments of five doctoral schools of the Adam Mickiewicz University were presented..
On November 15, Cormack Consultancy Group held a regular coordination meeting with the coordinators of the Twinning Program - Alina Lavreniuk, IUEH, and Ian Gadd, coordinator of the Bath Spa University.
During the meeting, the coordinators had the opportunity to briefly report on the joint work done between the two universities, describe the main results of the grant activities and talk about the coordinated work of the faculties of the two universities.
In particular, they focused on further prospects for cooperation and enlisted the support of the program management in organizing joint events. They also discussed possible funding within the framework of Twinning.
Ian Gadd also shared information about the preparations for the event in Bath on December 14, which will be attended by the Twinning coordinators from the Bath Spa University, the University of Bath, the University of Bristol, the University of Exeter and the University of Cardiff to share their experience of cooperation with Ukrainian universities, discuss some of the challenges faced by individual universities and explore possible joint Ukrainian-British Business Council
