IUEH scientists participated in the international project “Poland-Ukraine: Cultural Heritage,” which is being implemented by our partner, the University of Economics in Bydgoszcz (Poland). The project aims to research, preserve, and promote the shared cultural heritage of the two countries. The project brought together Ukrainian and Polish researchers for interdisciplinary scientific dialogue and exchange of experience.
The following people were involved in the preparation of scientific materials: Associate Professor of the Department of Geography and Tourism, PhD in Geographical Sciences Oleksandr Yakovchuk; Associate Professor of the Department of History, Theory of State and Law, and Philosophy, PhD in Historical Sciences Volodymyr Starzhets; Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages, PhD in Philological Sciences Anton Smerchko.
As part of the project, IUEH researchers developed scientific materials for a collective monograph highlighting the historical, cultural, and social aspects of Polish-Ukrainian heritage, as well as contemporary approaches to its understanding and preservation. The prepared chapters are based on current research and take into account the European context of humanities studies.
IUEH's participation in this international project and cooperation with the University of Economics in Bydgoszcz contribute to strengthening academic ties between Ukraine and Poland, integrating Ukrainian scientists into the international scientific space, and popularizing Ukrainian research in the field of cultural heritage.
