History of the Department

The Department of History was established on September 1, 1998. Subsequently, it was reorganised into two departments - the Department of Ukrainian History and Special Historical Disciplines and the Department of World History and Methods of Teaching Social Sciences. Since 2012, these departments have been reunited.

Zhyviuk Andrii Anatoliiovych - Associate Professor, PhD in History. In 1982 he graduated from the History Department of Kharkiv State University. He worked as a history teacher and director of the Mizots Secondary School of the I-III degree in Zdolbuniv district of Rivne region, vice-rector of Rivne Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education. In 2002, he defended his dissertation for a Candidate of Historical Sciences degree at the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. Since 2003 he has been working at the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities.

Zhyviuk A.A. was a member of the professional jury of the final stages of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad for Young Historians (1998-2015), the All-Ukrainian Tournament of Young Historians (1999-2014). Head of the scientific-editorial group of the book “Rehabilitated by History. Rivne Region ”, member of the Supervisory Board of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve “Battle of Berestechko”, Chairman of the Rivne Regional Organization of the National Union of the Local Lore of Ukraine.

He was awarded the Certificate of Honour from the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, the badge of "Excellent Student in the education of Ukraine", with the order “For Merit" of the third degree, the badge “Petro Mohyla", the Order of Christ the Savior of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev Patriarchate (UOC KP). Winner of the Ivan Franko Prize in Information Science in the nomination For Best Scientific Work in the Information Sphere (2005).

Myronets Nina Rostyslavivna - Associate Professor, PhD in Historical Sciences. In 1998 she graduated from the Faculty of History and Sociology of Rivne State University of Humanities, in 2003 -graduated from the postgraduate study at the Institute of Biographical Studies of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, in 2007 – graduated from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Services of the Kiev Institute of Tourism, Economics and Law. In 2004 she defended her dissertation for a Candidate of Historical Sciences degree. She worked as a laboratory assistant, methodologist at the IUEH Statistics Department. Since 2004 – she has been working at the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities as Assistant Professor of History Department, Dean of the Faculty of European Education.

Lopatska Nataliia Mykolaivna - Associate Professor, PhD in History. She graduated from the National University of Ostroh Academy in 2000 and received a university degree in history. In April 2007, she defended her thesis for a Candidate of Historical Sciences degree. Since 2007 he has been working at the  Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities.

  • Recent History of Asia and Africa.
  • Historiography of world history.
  • The philosophy of history.

Snihur Anatolii Anatoliiovych - Associate Professor, PhD in History. He graduated from the History Department of Lviv University (1971). She worked as a history teacher at Lviv Sport Boarding School; Lecturer in History of Lviv Zoo-Veterinary Institute; Teacher, Associate Professor of the History Department; Head of the Department of History, Humanitarian discipline, Ukrainian Studies at Lviv Medical University. Since 2013 has been working at the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities.

His educational courses are:

  • A New History of Europe and America.
  • Recent History of Europe and America.

Levder Andrii Ivanovych - Associate Professor, PhD in History. In 2005 he graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities and in 2009 – graduated from the postgraduate course of the Academician Stepan Demianchuk IUEH. In 2014 he defended his dissertation for a candidate degree in Pedagogical Sciences.

  • History of Civilizations.
