On February 2 - 6, 2026, A delegation from Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities (IUEH) visited Bath Spa University (UK) as part of the Twinning partnership.

The IUEH delegation included Rector Professor Vitalii Demianchuk, Head of the International and Project Department Alina Kruhliak, Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Iryna Budz, and Dean of the Faculty of Health, Physical Culture, and Sports Vadym Koval.
The key event of the visit was the solemn ceremony of awarding the academic title of Honorary Doctorate to the rector of IUEH, Vitalii Demianchuk, which was attended by the leadership of Bath Spa University, the academic community, and students. This event was not only a recognition of the personal scientific and managerial achievements of the rector of IUEH, but also a symbol of trust and support for Ukrainian higher education institutions in the context of war and global challenges.
IUEH honored Bath Spa University with a certificate of appreciation for cooperation and a Stepan Demianchuk medal. The award is dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the university's founder, an outstanding scientist and educator who made a significant contribution to the development of higher education in Ukraine.

During the visit, strategic working meetings were held on the development of institutional partnership between IUEH and Bath Spa University. The meetings focused on joint participation in international and European grant programs, development of research cooperation, exchange of academic experience, as well as integration of innovative educational practices and European standards of education quality.

A separate meeting was devoted to the organization of the activities of the Center for Peace, Equality, and Sustainable Development at IUEH, which is a particularly important initiative in the context of the war in Ukraine, as it is intended to become a platform for scientific understanding of the processes of peace, security, and state restoration.

During the visit, a meaningful meeting was held with students of the Media Production in Sports and Sports Management programs. The delegation familiarized themselves with the work of the training studio and the process of preparing sports television programs. The students demonstrated modern technical equipment and talked about the stages of creating a media product — from developing an idea and script to filming, editing, and post-production.

Considerable attention was paid to issues of career development and employment of students, cooperation with employment and graduate support departments, as well as the exchange of experience in the field of inclusive education and support for vulnerable groups.
The IUEH delegation held a meeting with representatives of the Faculty of Sciences, where had the possibility to discuss cooperation in the fields of psychology, law, and physical rehabilitation. The participants focused on opportunities for academic exchange, joint scientific research, and the implementation of modern educational practices in the training of specialists.

As part of the working program of the visit, a meeting was held with representatives of the Institute for the Augmented Human (IAH) and the Department of Health at the University of Bath, during which the university's activities were presented, in particular, areas of study and scientific research in the field of physical rehabilitation. The participants discussed opportunities for further academic and scientific cooperation, exchange of experience, introduction of innovative approaches to educational programs, and practical aspects of the development of rehabilitation technologies.

During the visit, a meeting was held with representatives of the Bath Football Club, during which the university's social initiatives were discussed. The importance of supporting vulnerable groups and promoting the development of low-income areas of the city was emphasized, as well as the role of the university in shaping a socially responsible and inclusive community.

The visit of the IUEH delegation to Bath Spa University confirmed the stable nature of the Twinning partnership, the high level of mutual trust, and the common interest of the parties in developing long-term academic, scientific, and institutional cooperation. The visit was an important step in strengthening MEHU's international presence and further integrating Ukrainian higher education into the European educational and scientific space.
