A radio production project (author's radio broadcast) can be the basis of a radio project, provided that the quality and depth of processing of theoretical material for its creation meet the qualification requirements for a bachelor's / master's degree.

The practical part of the project consists of sound and edited radio and accompanying documents (script order and installation plan of the pilot issue and thematic plan of programs for the month) and should demonstrate the knowledge and competencies acquired by the student during training.

The work on the project has the following stages:

  1. Organisation of the project team / individually.

  2. Generating an idea, choosing the genre of the radio program (pilot issue and thematic plan of programs for the month).

  3. Implementation of the idea:

  4. registration of the script application (draft (electronic document) for making edits and corrections and a printed blank version with corrections);

  5. drawing up an assembly plan (draft (electronic document) for making corrections and a printed blank version with corrections);

  6. training reading of the text (correction of inaccuracies, work on diction, articulation and correct pronunciation);

  7. reading text in the studio;

  8. recording of elements of registration of air and radio program (identifiers of radio station, radio program and radio host); - Construction works.

  9. Design and presentation of the project.

Requirements for registration of results at different stages of realisation of the author's radio program project

  • Organisation of the project team / individually

The work of the team should be organised by the coordinator (manager), who is responsible for the implementation of each stage of the project, checks the finished product for compliance, monitors the deadline, determines the quality of work of each team member.

Be sure to generate an idea, choose the genre of the author's radio program (pilot issue and thematic program plan)

  1. The author's radio program (pilot issue) is an integral part of the radio project, for which genres are selected with a high degree of authorial origin and complexity, which corresponds to the bachelor's / master's level.

The choice of topic is determined by the general requirements for journalistic materials.

The radio program can be performed in established or hybrid genres:

  • information radio genres (radio messages, radio report, radio interview, radio report, radio speech, radio press review);
  • analytical (radio commentary, radio interview, radio review);
  • artistic and journalistic (radio essay, radio feuilleton, radio composition, radio film, radio drama);
  • interactive forms of radio genres (presented as an audio recording).
  1. In addition to the pilot project, it is necessary to prescribe a thematic plan of programs for the month, taking into account that the program will be broadcast.Annex1.
  • Implementation of the idea:

  • registration of a script application (draft (electronic document) for making corrections and a printed blank version with corrections);
  • drawing up an assembly plan (draft (electronic document) for making corrections and a printed blank version with corrections);
  • text reading training (correction of inaccuracies, work on diction, articulation and correctness of pronunciation);
  • reading text in the studio;
  • recording of elements of registration of air and radio program (identifiers of radio station, radio program and radio host);
  • Montage works.

 Technical requirements for the execution of a script order, Montage plan

the description of the author's program should be carried out in studio conditions (except for separate fragments - radio interviews, conversations, etc.).

Before recording the project in the studio and installation work, a script order and installation plan must be prepared and submitted to the teacher for verification and approval.

  1. The text of the program must be designed in accordance with the norms of the Ukrainian literary language (spelling, punctuation, lexical, grammatical, etc.).

  2. Emphasis is placed on frequently used words (names, surnames, names of geographical objects, water bodies, etc.), for rare words (for example, words of foreign origin, abbreviations) in addition to emphasis, it is necessary to note the peculiarities of pronunciation (transcription).

  3. Avoid using tracing paper from English, Russian, Polish, etc. languages that violate the lexical norms of the Ukrainian literary language.

  4. Separate the semantic elements of the text with appropriate marks (/), especially in those places where the message is perceived as a whole and causes unwanted associations in the listeners.

  5. The above pronunciation rules do not apply to interviewees, speakers, interlocutors, etc.

  6. The script order and assembly plan are printed using a computer on one side of a sheet of white A4 paper (210x297 mm) with a line spacing of 1.5 (one and a half), font - Times New Roman (TNM), size - 14.

  7. The text should be printed, leaving the edges of the following sizes: left - 30 mm, right - 15 mm, top - 20 mm, bottom - 20 mm.
  8. The font must be clear, typographical errors, typos; graphic inaccuracies can be corrected with a blade or corrector.
  9. The file with draft versions of the script order and assembly plan should be signed in Latin: pib_sz or pib _monp, where pib is the student's last name (team coordinator), sz is the script order, monp is the assembly plan.

  10. The number of printed copies of the assembly plan is equal to the number of participants in the sound of the project.

Technical standards for editing and editing radio programs

  1. The volume during recording (decibels) must be sufficient for high-quality recording of the transmission and its subsequent editing.

  2. The ratio of noise and voice should be within the limits that allow free comprehension of the text (except for special sound effects). The ratio of the volume of the various structural elements of the radio program must be the same. The volume of the musical accompaniment should not exceed the volume of the fragments with voice recording (except for special artistic effects).

  3. Reading speed (number of words per minute):

  • 140… 150 (average value, which implies only reading texts);
  • less by 20… 30% (for poorly prepared students, such as children);
  • higher by 20… 30% (for highly trained students).
  1. Reducing the duration of the radio transmission corresponds to the following sequence:

  • word-parasites, non-informational sounds (и-и-и…, а-а-а…, і-і-і…  etc.);

  • pauses between words, sentences, etc .;

  1. The increase in the duration of the radio transmission corresponds to the following sequence:

  • proportionally increase the duration of pauses between words and sentences;
  • increase the duration of pauses between parts of the transmission;
  • insert additional voice clips recorded by speakers;
  • insert non-voice fragments (music, etc.).
  1. You can delete fragments of non-dictation language if they:

  • do not meet the phonetic norms of the Ukrainian literary language (except for foreigners and people with language disabilities);

  1. Design and presentation of the project.

The mounted author's radio program is submitted to the lecturer for verification, for which the audio file is posted on the resource   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCj78bC3F-34lkxVBXR5cN4w?fbclid=IwAR2iRa88XbayD2c8UM7-z60iEsWGBPHuSAich_VTIy6w6e3G7fL1zUIjkB4
