Scientific work

The results of lecturers’ research work of the department are reflected in scientific publications.

During the period 2010-2020, more than 300 lecturers’ scientific works of the department were published, including: 8 author's monographs (prof. Demianchuk A.S. (4), assoc. Melnychuk L.B.(1), assoc. Marchuk O.O. (3)); lecturers of the departments are co-authors of collective monographs (prof. Demianchuk A.S, assoc. Pahuta T.I., assoc. Melnychuk L.B., assoc. Marchuk O.O.), authors of more than 200 scientific articles in journals and collections , 80 textbooks, one of which is a textbook with the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (assoc. Pahuta T.I. (2008)).

In October 2020, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogics Marchuk OO in the specialized council of the Khmelnytsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy defended her Doctoral dissertation on "Theory and practice of teaching and educating children and youth in educational and cultural institutions of Volyn in the XIX - first half of the XX century."

The scientific activity of graduate students and applicants is managed by the leading lecturers of the department: Doctor of Sciences in Pedagogics, Professor Demianchuk A.S., Associate Professor: Pahuta T.I., Melnychuk L.B., Marchuk O.O. Thus, in 2018, 2 PhD dissertations were successfully defended under the supervision of assoc. Melnychuk L.B., assoc. Marchuk O.O.

Under the guidance of lecturers, students take an active part in competitions of scientific works and subject competitions. Thus, the third-year student of the Faculty of Pedagogics Bolba O.V. under the guidance of Assoc. Petruk O.M. in 2005 - 2006 took the second place at the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works, and the third-year student of the Faculty of History and Philology Samchuk O.V. in 2009 took the first place at the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in pedagogy.

The academic staff of the department and students annually participate in All-Ukrainian and interantional scientific and practical conferences, held on the basis of partner universities (Andrzeja Frycza Modrzewskiego Krakow School of Higher Education, Kodolaniy Janos University, Institute in Nyred , Baranovichi State University), with which relevant agreements on partnership and cooperation have been concluded and on the basis of which lecturers are undergoing internships and advanced training.

In cooperation with other institutions of higher education, in particular, Rivne State University for the Humanities, Lesia Ukrainka Eastern European National University, Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy, the Department of Pedagogy with the support of the Department of Primary and Preschool Education holds annual All-Ukrainian conferences “Actual problems of reforming primary and preschool education in the context of European integration processes”, pedagogical readings, master classes.

The teaching staff of the department organises work with students and masters on the preparation of coursework, bachelor's and master's theses, publication of scientific articles in the collection of scientific works of the university.

It should be noted that the academic staff of the department and students annually participate in both All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conferences and international ones held on the basis of partner institutions of higher education.

  • Baranovichi State University, with which relevant agreements on partnership and cooperation have been concluded.

In accordance with the cooperation with the Wielkopolska Socio-Economic Higher School in Srode, (Poland), lecturers of the Department of Pedagogics participated in the development of curricula and programs agreed with the Ministry of Education of Poland. This will allow students to study in joint educational training programs based on the European credit transfer system.
