A delegation from IUEH, comprising the programme coordinator, sports medicine doctor and senior lecturer at the Department of Human Health and Physiotherapy, Igor Petruk; the head of the Department of Human Health and Physiotherapy, Olena Sirman; and third-year student Vasyl Sokol, specialising in ‘Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Vasyl Sokol, has commenced training in Bydgoszcz (Poland) as part of the second phase of the international grant programme ‘Project GRY UA RITA 2 DO POTEGY’.

The project is co-funded by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation as part of the RITA programme — ‘Changes in the Region’, implemented by the ‘Education for Democracy’ Foundation. Its implementation is of paramount importance, as it aims to support the restoration of mental health, improve physical well-being and facilitate social adaptation for people living under wartime conditions in Ukraine.

The training takes the form of a combination of lectures and practical workshops. Participants in the international programme not only learn about modern approaches but also actively acquire practical skills in psychological support, as well as the restoration of sensorimotor functions using innovative equipment. This format ensures an effective combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, which is particularly valuable for the future professional activities of specialists in the field of rehabilitation.
