The international scientific and practical conference ‘International Trends and Prospects for Development in Education and Science in the Context of Globalisation’, which took place on 13 November at IUEH, brought together a wide range of foreign partners this year, highlighting the university's growing authority in the global academic arena. Foreign partners from Poland, Slovakia and the United Kingdom joined the event.
Partners from Bath Spa University (Great Britain) - Professor John Strachan, Vice-Chancellor for Research and Entrepreneurship, and Professor of English Literature, Head of European Projects Development Jan Hadd - delivered welcoming speeches.

Traditionally, Jerzy Babiak, Professor, Doctor of Philosophy, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at the Greater Poland Academy of Social and Economic Sciences in Środa Wielkopolska – Academy of Applied Sciences (Poland), joined in the congratulations. In his speech, the professor emphasised the long-standing fruitful cooperation between our universities. He stressed the importance of joint projects and expressed his gratitude for the mutual support that contributes to strengthening academic ties between Ukraine and Poland.

During the event, special attention was drawn to the warm welcome speech by Jozef Zatko, President of the European Institute of Further Education from Slovakia. Addressing the audience, he emotionally greeted those present with the words: ‘My golden Ukrainians!’, which evoked sincere support and emotion among the participants.
 Particular attention was drawn to the participation of Emma Nicholson, Baroness Winterbourne, Member of the British Parliament and Chair of the UK-Ukraine Business Council, who gave a speech on the importance of international cooperation in the field of humanitarian education and the role of university partnerships in strengthening European democratic values. She also emphasised the importance of supporting Ukraine in the face of current challenges.
“The stability of society depends on the results of your work and the work of your students. It is especially important now that your voices are heard, because the next step after education is the transition to a successful career and self-education.”

The plenary session was also joined by Natalia Rumyantseva, PhD, School of Education, Bath Spa University, who gave a presentation on “Overcoming through understanding: how education can influence the healing of collective trauma in society.”
The participation of representatives from Europe demonstrated IUEH’s openness to global cooperation and confirmed the university's strategic course towards the internationalisation of education and science.
